Intern (m/f/d) - Specialisation Sustainability

For our Technology & Sustainability team in Frankfurt/Main (Clariant Innovation Center in the Industrial Park Höchst) we are looking for an Intern (m/f/d) - Specialisation Sustainability.

The position is temporary to 9 - 12 months and will be full time.

Responsibilities

  • Support the continuous development and digitalization of the Portfolio Value Program (PVP), including revising sustainability assessments and exploring digital tools for efficiency
  • Map and analyse internal databases, identify data gaps, and propose connections between systems while collaborating with IT to develop tools and solutions
  • Research and evaluate external sustainability databases to complement internal data sources
  • Assist in creating data integration solutions to improve sustainability reporting and portfolio analysis
  • Conduct research on emerging sustainability trends, regulations, and best practices to inform decision-making
  • Document data processes, methodologies, and findings to ensure consistency and transparency

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Data Management, Sustainability, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI); programming languages (e.g., Python) is advantageous.Understanding of data management principles and database tools; experience with digital workflows is a plus
  • Interest or background in sustainability topics, including sustainability reporting, ESG criteria, or life cycle assessment (LCA)
  • Proactive, organized, independent, and detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset
