We are seeking highly motivated and dedicated interns to join our Retained Procurement Team within the COO Function at Allianz Technology. This is a unique opportunity for candidates to engage in procurement transformation, define problem statements, and develop a transversal view of procurement. You will mainly support change and project activities, contribute to significant projects, and work closely with professionals in the field. This role offers invaluable experience in various aspects of procurement, processes, and optimization projects within a global organization.
The Retained Procurement Function of Allianz Technology Group integrates, oversees, and coordinates the strategic procurement sourcing activities and the operational procurement tasks. Our goal is to enable the ordering of the required products/services in the right quality, at the right time, and at the best price-performance ratio while ensuring compliance with growing regulatory (e.g., risk, outsourcing) requirements. Moreover, we aim to guide our customers (business units of Allianz Technology) throughout the end-to-end purchasing process in a structured and intuitive way.
What you do
Support procurement transformation by defining problem statements and contributing to project activities
Develop a comprehensive understanding of procurement and participate in various process optimization projects
Identify and assist in optimizing procurement processes to enhance efficiency and performance
Create and maintain process documentation
Prepare reports and quality analyses for internal use
Develop presentations, decision papers, and other key documents
Manage daily tasks, organize meetings, and respond to ad-hoc requests
What you bring
You are in the advanced stage or final year of your studies (Bachelor’s/Master’s degree) in a field such as Economics, Finance, Engineering, Information Management, or a related area
A structured and organized approach to work, with strong attention to detail
Curiosity and adaptability in learning new challenges
Excellent prioritization skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
Strong analytical, organizational, conceptual, and communication skills (both oral and written), with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional and international teams
Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications
A dedicated team player with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
Passion for procurement, project management, analytics, stakeholder management, and related fields
High customer orientation and a pragmatic approach
Previous experience in finance or business-related functions (e.g., procurement, process management, consulting, finance, etc.) is a plus
Fluent in English (verbal and written); German is a plus
You can start immediately and are interested in a full-time internship (38h/week) for at least six months
