So, what will you be responsible for?

Bringing energy, knowledge, innovation, and leadership to carry out the following:

  • Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Program Support: Contribute to the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our EHS policies, procedures, and programs. Support EHS program implementation. Collaborate with EHS team on various projects and activities such as risk assessments, program evaluations, inspections, and ergonomic evaluations.
  • EHS Systems Support: Become a competent user of our company’s IT systems and EHS digital solutions. Help maintain our EHS SharePoint site, records and databases. Develop guidance documents, dashboards, and reports. Deliver training and provide support to end users.
  • EHS Training and Education: Assist in the development and delivery of training programs.
  • Incident Investigations:Review daily Good Catch submittals and assist EHS professional investigating workplace incidents or near-miss events. Problem solve to get to the root cause of issues.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Compile and analyse EHS-related data, such as incident data, corrective and preventive actions, environmental monitoring data, and inspection findings. Assist with the preparation of EHS reports, metrics, and presentations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Research and provide updates on EHS regulations. Assist with the preparation of regulatory documentation and submittals.
  • EHS Compliance and Culture: Drive compliance with our Policies, Procedures and Guidelines, regulatory requirements and permits in the performance of day-to-day activities and all applicable job functions, including maintenance of accurate records. Support and improve Good Catch reporting, recognition, and reward program.

This internship will be completed fully on site (Carlow)

The ideal person will have:

  • Working towards a Technical Bachelor Degree in Environmental Health & Safety or Science/Engineering.
