The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $20-$26/hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Description:

We are seeking highly motivated and skilled computer science and engineering students to join our team as interns. As a member of our research group, you will develop tools to analyze the performance of mapping and localization systems in autonomous vehicles. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects in autonomous vehicle technology, as well as work in a collaborative team environment with experienced engineers and researchers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a ROS2-based tool for performance analysis of simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) systems.

  • Process and analyze data from various sensors, such as LiDAR and cameras, to evaluate system performance.

  • Collaborate with experienced engineers to refine and optimize the tool for real-world applications.

Requirements:

  • You must be a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university.

  • Maintaining a 3.0 GPA

  • Strong background in computer science (algorithms, data structures) and mathematics (linear algebra, calculus).

  • Proficiency in C++, Rust, or Python programming languages.

  • Experience with ROS2 and sensor data processing is highly desirable.

  • Familiarity with mapping and localization techniques is a plus.

  • Participate in various Future Talent Programming events, such as weekly professional development sessions, a team-based innovation challenge and endless development opportunities.
