Intern (m/f/d) Structural Analysis - Vehicle
We are looking for a highly motivated Intern (f/m/d) Structural Analysis to join the vehicle structures team. Your work will have a direct impact in shaping the structure of RFA One. The tasks range from structural analysis to post-processing of test and flight data, and participation in various test activities. You will join a dedicated, dynamic and international team that is in the final stages before first launch of RFA One.
Your Tasks
- Perform structural analysis of test and flight hardware using hand calculations and finite element analysis
- Develop test plans and analyze test results to verify that systems and components meet the requirements and specifications
- Perform launch vehicle specific analysis, including thermal and dynamic analysis
- Design and organize test equipment and mounting structures
- Develop code based data processing tools to automate validation of test data
Your Qualifications
- Current student in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Experience performing structural analysis
- Knowledge of launch vehicles with respect to structure, load environment on ground and in flight, as well as general functionality
- Knowledge of continuum mechanics, physics, engineering materials and manufacturing processes
- Experience with finite element analysis software like NX Nastran, FEMAP or ANSYS
- Experience in Python or Matlab to facilitate data analysis
- Basic experience in CAD design (Siemens NX)
- Fluent English oral and written (all day-to-day activities are performed in English)
- Self-independent, a structured way of working and committed to working in a fast-paced environment
