Communications Intern
The Communications Intern will help execute the day-to-day initiatives and marketing output for the Communications team/Global Marketing team.
This intern position will report to the Director of Communications – Corporate & The Americas and is best suited for someone with a concentration in Communications, Journalism, English or other relevant field.
Responsibilities
Contributes to content creation and assists with editorial content calendar for all internal and external marketing & communications channels to ensure content timeliness and relevance
Assist with monitoring PSA BDP’s social media (LinkedIn)
Assist with preparations for PSA BDP’s internal weekly newsletter: curate content and work with internal, global stakeholders to develop engaging, promotional content
Assist with developing content and executing PSA BDP’s externally facing communications and customer newsletters/alerts
Support with building our brand and message as the company grows our ESG programs globally (Sustainability, DREAM, etc.)
Assist with managing and oversee regional external newsletters to ensure the content aligns with PSA BDP’s mission and brand
Provide brand and communications support on development of new collateral to support internal programs, and go-to-market initiatives
Assist with maintaining distribution lists and/or audience profiles
Identify ways of leveraging digital marketing to drive awareness, advocacy and intent by maintaining a cutting-edge understanding of best practices, features, strategies, and tactics
Utilize SEO best practices and develop strategies for implementation and analysis
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required in Communications, Journalism, English, or related field
Knowledge of logistics and supply chain industry a plus
Proficient with a range of digital marketing tools, including Microsoft Suite, SharePoint, MailChimp, LinkedIn, Canva (a plus)
Self-motivated with an ability to take initiative in a challenging, fast-paced environment
Ability to prioritize many tasks across various teams within the MarCom Department
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Capability to quickly adjust priorities to respond to pressing demands
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong prioritization and time-management skills
