Looking for a role that allows you to work in a truly international, fast-paced environment with talented people who enjoy sharing their knowledge and experiences?Then it is you we are looking for in our Global Group IT Project Portfolio Steering team based in the heart of Munich.The Operations & IT steering department takes over the strategic transformation steering of the Operating Entities (OEs) of Allianz Group towards the defined Operations and IT Group Strategy.In this department, we are currently looking for an intern to support with all aspects of the Group IT Project Portfolio Steering. We are particularly responsible for supporting and steering the IT Project Portfolio of the Operating Entities to align with our Operations and IT Strategy.

How can you make an impact?

You support the team in their daily work, e.g.:

• Provide support for developing initiatives, frameworks, tools & methodologies related to IT Project Portfolio Steering
• Support the further design and development of the internal IT Project Portfolio processes and training materials
• Support the steering of the IT Project Portfolio in the yearly AZ Group planning processes, IT Steering Boards and further top management meetings
• Provide support for the preparation of management presentations
• Preparation, execution and wrap-up of workshops and team meetings
• Support in the analysis and reporting of the Group IT Project Portfolio
• Conduct data sanity checks and support developments in our reporting tools SAP and WAVE
• Optionally: Create, support, and maintain high quality reports and dashboards with Power BI
• Optionally: Support in MVP for Lean Portfolio Management

This experience offers you a great starting point to get to know the insurance industry and insights into the fast paced, international world of the leading insurance group word-wide. In addition you will acquire valuable analytical skills and get to know people from all over the world. You will work independently with guidance from senior project managers and your personal mentor.

What are you made of?

Minimum Qualifications

• You are at an advanced stage of your degree and have a proven track record
• Studies in Business Administration, Economics, other business related fields or Mathematics
• You are fluent in English (spoken and written), German is helpful (but not a must), additional language skills are a plus
• You do have excellent MS Office skills, especially in SharePoint, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint )
• We can only consider your application if you provide the following documents:

• Valid Work and residence permit (for non-EU citizens). Please check before applying if you can work with your current VISA

• Previous experience in business related functions (e.g. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital/ Tech etc.) is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to communicate in a clear, well-structured manner
• Experience in handling and interpretation of data
• Experience in project management methodologies is a plus, not a must
• A strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other business tools such as Microsoft Teams, and OneNote desired
• Good social skills and cultural awareness
• High degree of sensitivity and accuracy in working on key strategic issues for the Allianz Group
• Self-starter with a hands-on mentality, able to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Entrepreneurial approach and be able to work independently as well as part of a team as required
• Able to work in a structured, organised, and efficient manner and must be able to prioritize tasks and manage expectations and timelines as required to meet business priorities and deadlines
• A plus, but not a must is experience in using PowerBI, PowerApps and VBA
