Job Description
Are you eager to learn more about technology and want to contribute to the next generation of service offerings? We offer you a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience as either an intern (full time, 3-6 months) or working student (part-time, 6-12 months) in our Service Development team.
In this role, you will get involved in service productization, tool development, and cross-functional collaboration – all while working on a high-impact project. Possible locations are Gorinchem in the Netherlands, Offenbach in Germany, or Copenhagen in Denmark.
Job Responsibilities
In support of our growth strategy, you will play a key role in developing a service concept that addresses the long-term needs of our large installed base of air- and liquid-cooled inverters. We will offer customers two core service options: replacing existing modules or refurbishing them. This overhaul service option is where you come in!
Your assignment will focus on defining the overhaul work as a standardized product and developing an Excel-based user-friendly quoting tool that enables quick and consistent service proposals:
- Define required spare parts and labor time for specific inverter frame sizes
- Create the quotation tool for use by Service Sales teams
- Develop clear scope definitions for customers, including:
- List of required spare parts
- Estimated labor hours
- Service package structure
You’ll dive into real-world service development, sharpen your commercial thinking, learn about the Marine industry and build cross-functional collaboration skills in a global business environment.
Background & Skills
- Solid Excel skills or high motivation to build them (including formulas, semi-automated sheets/tools, usability design)
- Structured and self-driven working style with attention to detail
- Comfortable working with various internal teams to collect and validate input (e.g. R&D, Service, Sales, Product Management)
- Curious mindset with a genuine interest in marine technology and the service business
