Job Description
GraalPy, GraalJS, GraalWasm, and other Graal Languages are fast and open-source language runtimes that can be embedded in Java. They allow Java developers to extend their applications with packages from Python, JavaScript, WebAssembly, and other language ecosystems.
Responsibilities
Title: Extend Graal Languages with new capabilities
The goal of this internship is to extend one of these runtimes or Truffle, the underlying language implementation framework, with new capabilities such as language, embedding, or interoperability features. To demonstrate the benefits of this work, the intern is also expected to implement a demo that exercises and explains the new capability in more detail. Together with the intern and depending on their interests and skills, we will decide on a particular capability in the first weeks of the internship. Throughout the internship, the intern participates in weekly team meetings and collaborates with different team members.
Requirement:
- Good programming skills in Java
- Fluent English communication
- Prior experience with compiler technology is a plus
- Knowledge of Python, JavaScript, or other dynamic programming languages is a plus.
