Summary
About the Role
Your responsibilities:
- Integrate the theoretical Capped Drucker-Prager model into a real-world industrial setting at Novartis.
- Adapt the model using FEM tools (e.g. Comsol Multiphysics) to simulate the physical phenomena occurring during the tablet compaction process, including the analysis of mechanical stresses and thermal effects.
- Calibrate the model parameters to match empirical data from the production environment.
- Evaluate if the model accurately reflects the behavior of the compaction machinery and the properties of the tablets.
- Prepare and present research findings in a final presentation and report.
Minimum requirements:
- BSc/MSc degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical/Mechanical/Process engineering, Material Sicences or similar.
- Knowledge of Capped Drucker-Prager model.
- Good communication skills (English) and data visualization skills.
- Flexible and open minded.
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with multiple teams, ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and multicultural environment.
Of advantage:
- Experience with Comsol Multiphyisics software.
- Experience in data science applied to scientific problems.
- Experience in programing languages like Python.
