At Tanso, we aim to be thought-leaders in decarbonization of the manufacturing sector. To achieve this, we are looking for a highly motivated Climate Research Intern/Working Student in our Climate Intelligence team. As a Climate Research Intern/Working Student, you would play an integral role in researching emission factors, handling large datasets from our customers and developing methodologies and tools to educate internal and external stakeholders on various topics within climate data management.

As part of the Climate Intelligence team, you will have the opportunity to act as a bridge to understand the pain-points of our fast growing customer base and work with different teams to support them in their climate action journey.

How you succeed

Make customers successful

  • Research and Apply Methodologies: Investigate and utilize appropriate methodologies and standards for analyzing carbon and climate data.
  • Simplify Complex Data: Process and simplify intricate carbon and climate data provided by customers, making it accessible and understandable.

Build your expertise in climate

  • Develop Expertise: Learn about key sustainability topics like product carbon footprints (PCFs), corporate carbon footprints (CCFs), and emission factors.
  • Share Knowledge: Communicate your insights and learnings with the Tanso team effectively.

Be a thought leader

Hard Requirements

  • You know your way through excel and feel confident analysing big data.
  • You already live or are willing to relocate to Munich.
  • You must have a pre-existing working permit for the EU.
  • You must speak English at level C1 or higher.
  • You must speak German at level C2.
